I know this phrase can often times be misused, but it’s true… my fiancé is not only the most amazing, loving, and warm-hearted person, she is truly my best friend. We met in the third grade when my family moved from Colorado to Southern California. She sat in the front seat, two rows down from me and I can remember her purple little glasses and hair in a ponytail as if it were yesterday. We soon became friends and by the time I was in fifth grade, I loved her and knew she was the one for me. I never told her how I felt (partly because she was convinced I had koodies) until we were juniors in high school and while slow dancing to a Boys 2 Men song, I leaned in (wanting to kiss her) but instead asked her out a date. For some reason she agreed and the rest is history. We have been together ever since and we cannot wait to get married next spring in the backyard where we pent countless hours as kids playing together and eating peanut butter ritz cracker sandwiches.

    WOW! What a wonderful giveaway!

My fiancé and I met while playing lacrosse at the University of San Diego. We slowly began falling for each other and would go out of our way to “run into” each other during school. We enjoyed going to sporting events together, and we were each other’s #1 at each of our games. Towards the end of our Junior year, he invited me to dinner where he wined-and-dined me in the cafeteria with tablecloths, candles, music and all. Half of me was mortified, but half of me was extremely blown away by his efforts. That night he asked me out and two years later, he proposed to me in the same way we had our first date!

We are so excited to be getting married on 11-19-11 in San Diego.

We fell in love slowly and were running partners and friends in college at UT-Austin and then both lived in Dallas. He taught me to wakeboard and we realized we had many interests in common. We got engaged on the Lady Bird Lake Trail in Austin and will be getting married in my hometown near San Antonio.
