In a beautifully crafted ceremony, Patti and Ervey De La Rosa were married at Aristide Event Center on April 16th in Mansfield, Texas. Patti’s gown was an exclusive design from Bliss Bridal in Fort Worth. Her wedding coordinator was Lucia Bitnar of Foster Blue and all florals were done by Twigs. Cool jazz rhythms were supplied by David Carr Jr. and the cake was from Sweet Memories. Jim Rode Photographer captured the event on film. After photographing weddings for over 25 years, Jim has developed a unique style that is truly demonstrated in this wedding. He believes that a good photographer must learn to be “out of sight” at a wedding, but also be able to capture the center of attention, the bride, in her element. He began shooting photography after working in the dark room of a presidential library, where he was then sent to photograph birthdays, weddings and retirements, which he soon fell in love with. As a master of his craft, Rode is able to create photos that demonstrate a wedding’s place as not only a ceremony, but as fashion and a piece of art.
