10 Sep New Orleans Saints Cheerleader Ties The Knot In Style
This bombshell bride and New Orleans Saints cheerleader tied the knot in style last February and all we have to say is va-va-voom! After an extensive search for a unique venue they settled on Mardi Gras World. The couple then enlisted wedding coordinator extraordinaire Elyse at Tying the Knot Wedding Coordination who helped them settle on the theme and vendors for their big day. Personal touches like the couples wedding logo designed by Alexa Pulitzer was carried throughout the event beginning with the invitations, and ending with the beverage napkins. We couldn’t get enough of all the glamorous details from the bride’s luxe fur wrap and custom beaded gown, down to her magical Jimmy Choos. Not to mention the bridesmaid’s navy dupioni trumpet gowns and this five-layer jaw-dropping cake! From beginning to end this New Orleans wedding is overflowing with glamor, romance, and knock-down-drag-out fun. Did we mention the hoola hoops? Q. Tell us about the proposal. We want all the details!
A. Jason planned what I thought was a fun filled comedy weekend. We had purchased tickets to the Lisa Lampanelli comedy show on November 10th, 2012. We got ready to leave and he mentioned that we had to go pick up a couple of friends from a downtown hotel. They had gotten a room since they are from out of town. We arrive at the hotel and valet “to have a couple drinks at the bar”, We go up the elevator and down the hall. Jason then whips out a room key. As gullible as I am, said “Hey where’d you get that”? He mentions something about stopping by the hotel earlier to meet up with Joe and Stacey and they gave him the extra key for us to meet up with them.
When I enter the suite its decorated with the most beautiful bouquet of roses I’ve ever seen, champagne, bonbons and a trail of rose petals to the bed. I’m very cautious and begin to question what’s going on and why is Joe doing all this for Stacey. He says, “Go in and find her, I’m sure she is getting ready”. I begin calling their names and with no responses, all at once everything hits me. I turn around to find Jason on bended knee asking for my hand in marriage. I, of course, said yes! But then the best part of the whole story comes next!
Besides the fact that I was in shock for approximately 30 minutes, I was also dissapointed we weren’t actually going to see Lisa Lampanelli and had wasted our tickets. Jason had assured me we were going to a romantic dinner, just us two, to celebrate the occasion.
We crossed Canal Street to head to the restaurant, walk into the lobby of the 2nd hotel of the evening, climb the stairs to the top, and at the entrance to the restaurant are every single one of our closest friends and family who cheered & congratulated us as soon as we approached. I was definitely in complete and utter shock at this point and couldn’t believe that Jason had planned all of this for me!
I’m sure it was hard work and I don’t know how he did it but it’s definitely a night I will never forget and can’t wait to tell our future children about.

A. JLM Couture Occasions navy dupioni bridesmaid trumpet gown, Cross-over V-neckline, gathered bodice, natural waist.

A. White Phalaenopsis Orchid, White Calla Lilies, Ivory Roses, White Hydrangeas
Q. What inspired your style for the wedding day?
A. Traditional but Romantic
Q. What inspired your jaw-dropping cake?
A. I absolutely adored my cake. It has always been my dream cake since I was a little girl. All white, clean lines and traditional but oh so gorgeous!
Q. What inspired your incredibly unique grooms cake?
A. Jason picked his grooms cake because he saw one similar on Pinterest. But as you know all typically things on Pinterest are not always possible, however Royal Cakery did such an amazing job on both cakes.
