Our Favorite Mansions and Villas

The wonderful thing about having your wedding at a villa or mansion is you get the personal feel of being in a home without actually having to invite 100+ people to your own home! Here are some of our top picks for DFW and Austin’s best mansions and villas that could be host to your special day!

The Allan House – Austin, TX

Located in the heart of Downtown Austin, the Allan House provides a beautiful backdrop for your dream wedding. A Victorian mansion with a large outdoor area, the Allan House is a treasure in the city and is one of the few Victorian homes that still stands in Austin. It is the perfect size for receptions and ceremonies of up to 75 people, and for larger weddings the veranda and courtyard can be opened up as well. It was also recently named Best Spot for an Austin Wedding! We love it too!

Wildwood Inn – Dallas, TX

Nestled in a secluded, wooded area of Denton, the Wildwood Inn is an incredible European-inspired villa that will give your wedding a peaceful, refreshing feel. With a cascading swimming pool, beautiful gardens and a hand-carved fireplace in the dining room, Wildwood Inn offers elegance and serenity to the bride and groom! Catering is provided by the on-site 4-star-restaurant and chef who astonish your guests with their delectable cuisine.

They have several events coming up for brides and their guests including a Food and Wine tasting on Oct. 19 & Nov. 30 from 6-8.30 p.m,. They are also hosting a Bridal Open House on Oct. 30 from 12-3 p.m. Reservations for both are required. Finally, for any bride who books her wedding before Sep. 30, they will receive a discount of $500 off their wedding! More information can be found on their website. Sounds spectacular!

Oh, one of my good friends was married here! It was just lovely, and the grounds were beautiful! The staff was really great, but at the end of the night, they threw away her WEDDING CAKE!!! Be sure you make arrangements to have someone take it home!
